We're delighted to announce that Fréa - a unique partnership of three Irish charities across the North of England, including Leeds Irish Health and Homes - has been awarded funding from the Irish government to employ a team to work on the Mother & Baby and County Homes programme.
The funding will cover one Regional Manager post based in Leeds, Liverpool or Manchester and two specialist advice workers. Once Fréa have recruited a Regional Manager (see below), the two specialist advice worker posts will be advertised.
As well as managing a small regional team, the successful applicant will be responsible for engaging, empowering and supporting former residents of Ireland's Mother & Baby and County Home Institutions. Many former residents now live in the UK and are entitled to redress.
