Volunteer Group Facilitator

Leeds Irish Health and Homes facilitates a number of groups within the community. The groups are well established and are an integral part of the work that we do.

Description of Role:
Women’s Group – A support network for women and to encourage empowerment through social activities, and alternative therapies.

Skills/Qualifications Needed:

  • Able to work in a team.
  • To be patient, kind and compassionate.

Times You Can Volunteer:

  • Women’s Group – Twice a month on a Thursday afternoon from 1300-14.30. The group is held at the Montague Burton Centre.

 

Volunteer Group Facilitator

Description of Role:
Cinema Group Volunteer –To meet with groups of service users once a month at the Cottage Road Cinema in the Headingley area. This encourages service users to leave their home and helps them overcome isolation. To ensure everyone arrives on time and ensures everyone gets home safely by helping them get to their bus stop safely.

  • Able to work in a team.
  • To be Patent, kind and compassionate.

Times You Can Volunteer:

  • Cinema Group – Once a month – 3 to 4 hours per month. Preferable on an evening or weekend.
  • Women’s Group – Twice a month on a Thursday afternoon from 1300-14.30. The group is held at the Montague Burton Centre.
  • Meála Group – The last Thursday of the month. 2 hours per month. The group is held at the Montague Burton Centre from 1300 – 14.30.
