Dying Matters week 2018 takes place from 14th to 18th May. In Leeds this year there is a programme of activities taking place across the city funded by the Dying Matters small grant programme. Organisations running events include Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust, Carers Leeds
MHA Horsforth Live at Home, MAECare, Café Leep, Syrian Community of Leeds, Leeds University Union and Caring Sharing Your Loss (CASYL).
On 15th May the Dying Matters Partners will be at Kirkgate Market with a range of stalls providing information, advice and interactive activities. Stallholders include St Gemma’s, Sue Ryder Wheatfields and Martin House Hospices, Dogs Trust, Leeds Bereavement Forum, University Family History Project, Leeds Museums and Galleries, Leeds Libraries, Leeds Suicide Bereavement Service, NHS, Full Circle Funerals, Gooding Funeral Services, Carers Leeds, Leeds Older People’s Forum, Leeds MIND, Leeds Black Health Initiative, Age UK, Sage, Cruse bereavement, Clarion Solicitors, Emsleys, Ison Harrison Solicitors and Macmillan Cancer Support. Other attractions include a New Orleans Style Jazz Band, Gospel Choir, poetry and drama.
Everyone is welcome to drop in during the day.
