This year’s MHAW week is focussing on relationships and to celebrate we kicked off our week with our event at Montague Burton Resource Centre where our clients enjoyed live Irish music, chicken chasseur home cooked dinner and healthy smoothies.
With this event we are celebrating the relationships that we foster from our groups where people meet up with those they’ve lost touch with over the years and re-ignite friendships and make new ones. This then has a positive impact and cements our belief in Care, Culture and Community
CEO Ant said ‘LIHH’s philosophy has always been about bringing people together to support each other and re-ignite lost friendships. This year’s theme for Mental Health Awareness Week is therefore very apt for us. As you can see from the photographs, the pleasure people get from this type of activity is self-evident. The best thing is that people share their friendship beyond the confines of these groups, enjoying meeting up for coffee, going on walks or to the cinema. It is a joy to see the impact our groups make.’
