CARA Community Connector – POSITION CLOSED 03/09/18

We are currently recruiting  a part-time worker for our CARA service

Salary: £21,074 (pro-rata-actual salary £8,430)

Hours: 14 hours per week

Contract: 1 year Permanent contract

Base:  LIHH

THE PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

  • To connect isolated and lonely older Irish people both culturally and socially through creating friendship links and projects to enable them to take part fully in their community.
  • To engage with the local Irish community, churches, day centres and similar to identify isolated and lonely Irish older people in order to develop a network of support. 
  • To work collaboratively with our Irish community support service. 
  • To ensure the service is delivered effectively, that it is efficient and sensitive to people’s needs whilst addressing the outcomes required
